lol nah, tell me who's got the acrobatic training from a race who are more skilled acrobatically than any human by default. Then throw in the near infinite possibilities of the Fusion Suit and you've got a clear winner. Default, original Samus? Fair fight. Anything past that and it's one-sided. It's not even a viable comparison considering the differences in her arsenals compared to his. Pardon me if I sound confrontational lol.
Well put, but I think the Chief would be able to keep up with, if not defeat Samus. If we throw in all the additions made to halo after original master chief of course. Now, im not sure what the capapbilites of Samus' suit are entirely...but wouldnt an EMP blast affect its functioning, and thus limiting Samus? Because the Chief could EMP blast either with a covenant weapon, UNSC grenade launcher, or Armor lock, which would make him invulnerable to damage for a few seconds as well.
Well Samus' Fusion suit (her most recent one timeline wise) is composed of both Metroid and Parasite X DNA, with only fragments of her original Chozo Power Suit. I'm thinking those Chozo parts would be all that's affected by EMP, assuming they work on conventional circuitry. It's unknown just what functions those parts serve for her body though, they could be lung function, muscle systems, who knows. I would venture a guess though and say that whatever is affected by the EMP will be compensated for by the DNA of the two creatures, given that the Metroid can absorb energy and the Parasite X can allow her body to adapt with ease and swiftness.
You make a fair point. However, i think id find it amusing if Samus's suit were to lose all upgrades ( like in the beginning of every game ) mid fight... Anyway, im pretty sure Samus would have the upper hand if they were at range. However... if the fight leads to a more enclosed, close combat fight, the Chief would win... this is mostly due to the fact that he is taller, weighs about 5 times what Samus does, and is strong enough t flip a Scorpion tank / punch through most kinds of armored vehicles... im sure at a range Samus has more chances, but in close quarters, he would completely overpower her.
EMP actually doesn't effect Samus all that much. her suit, even prior to metroid fusion, is mostly organic components, and supposedly runs off her bio-energy.
But EMP has been used against her before, too little effect, the worst that happens to her is her visor gains a bit of static. however in morphball mode she doesn't rely on her visor, so she can in that mode function perfectly fine under EMP. besides the static, her suit functions as normal.
In melee combat, Samus actually has the bigger advantage. sure, it's quite possible he's stronger, but what point is emmense strength if the person your hitting can kill you for touching her? what do I mean? Samus has an ability called the screw attack, an ability that when she's airborn (which she can fly in a loose sense) her armor is enveloped with a powerful, destructive energy that is in constant motion, like a saw. melee attacks would damage what ever physical object he could use to strike her, including his body or weapons. the sword would likely be deflected, as the screw attack is a stronger form of "energy blade" a gravity hammer would be no more useful than a big stick, Samus' gravity suit neutralizes the manipulation of gravity around her armor. the force wave would be neutralized.
and most of all, power bombs. these nasty little things are bombs the that encompass a massive area, dozens of meters, and she's usually got 50 or more on her. getting close when she has those things? not the wisest thing any spartan can do.
he may be strong enough to flip a scorpion tank, but Samus' armor can takes blows from enemies capable of lifting and throwing her ship (her ship weighs 136 tons, more than twice as heavy as the 66 ton scorpion tank)
if anything, his best options is at extreme range, with a sniper or the spartan laser, and prey there's enough obsacles to slow her down, because she can run at super sonic speeds in straight lines or shallow turns, because hitting her once or twice with even the laser isn't going to prove enough.
